Asking questions is the best way to see if Yourself Yoga is right for you.  Typically our clients ask….

What style of yoga will I get?

Vinyasa –  Vinyasa yoga where there’s a flow of poses that can be fast or slow, or as gentle or sweaty as you like.

Ashtanga - Mysore/Ashtanga yoga which is more traditional and comprises a set sequence of poses, each one carefully synchronized with the breath.

Restorative – Restorative yoga where you get to relax with the use of props. This is great for calming the nervous system and rekindling your energy.

Yin – Yin yoga is a slow and gentle practice that focuses on stretching and targeting both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body.

Pranayama – Arguably, this is one of the most important aspects of yoga. By controlling our breath or ‘life force’, we can help overcome minor fatigue, anxiety and help relieve depression.

Meditation – Learn tips and techniques to make this part of your daily routine and gain mental clarity and calm.

How do I start?

First of all, let’s connect and once you have completed the Kickoff Questionnaire, we can schedule a time for your complementary consultation/assessment. That way, we can find out more about YOURSELF and customize a lesson to suit you, and only you. From there, we plan to work together once/twice each week to achieve your goals. We normally ask students to continue for a minimum of three months whereupon we can review your progress.

What equipment do I need?

If you’re a beginner and not sure which mat to buy, you can use one of our mats until you find your feet. We also bring a bolster, wheel, straps, blocks, blankets and even the music and essential oils.

What will my lessons be like?

After your initial consultation, we will be able to customize a lesson that meets you exactly where you’re at with your practice. It could be simple stretches, poses for relaxation, breathwork or a more vigorous practice. Each lesson will be themed so that you’re not only building strength on the mat, you can take teachings off the mat too.

Do you work with injuries or other limitations?

Yes, we work with clients who have a variety of injuries and limitations, but we would offer a full assessment to determine if we can help you. If we can’t help you, then we will refer you to someone that can.

What happens if I can’t make my lesson?

Of course, daily life always throws us unexpected challenges so it’s perfectly ok to cancel with 24 hours notice without incurring any charges.

How do I pay?

We accept payment via PayPal, Cash App, Check or Cash.

Can I bring a friend(s) or can my other half join in?

Of course! We try to keep to a small number of people so that each person can benefit from one on one attention. However, small groups (up to 10) or partners are welcome too providing they have completed a KickOff Questionnaire so we have knowledge of any health concerns.
