In this penultimate episode of What's Your Story, Julie chats to Nikki Clifton who has found yoga to be the perfect solution for easing her joint pain and other perimenopause symptoms.
Having undergone various bouts of surgery, especially to her knees and shoulders, Nikki attributed her stiffness and lack of flexibility issues to her operations and scar tissue....until she realised that perimenopause was also aggravating it further.
Stepping on the mat for the first time, Nikki's eyes were opened to the similarities between the treatments she advises for her patients (Nikki is a physiotherapist) and some of the fundamental yoga poses. Her joint pain soon became so much better and she even noticed a difference in her anxiety levels.
As well as being a member of Select Premier, she has also embarked on My Yoga Journey - Premier's 7-stage progress path - soon after recovering from more shoulder surgery. Incredible!
PS Nikki has confessed to practicing early morning yoga in her pyjamas. And why not?
